Right before the arrival of the update to version 2.5, which will bring a flood of new things and the content themed around Edgerunners 2, Cyberpunk 2077 is becoming compatible with an important feature of the Microsoft system.

We are talking about Xbox Play Anywhere, a feature that used to work mostly with Xbox’s own exclusive games, but is now showing up in more and more games from other studios. Just like what happened a few days ago with The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt Remastered, now the game set in Night City also gets support for this system, which brings a few big benefits.

Besides getting shared saves between Xbox and PC even without using the cross-save system made by CD Projekt RED, you can also get the PC version of the game without spending a single cent. The best part is that this bonus is for everyone, whether you own the disc version or the digital one.

In the first case, you just need to use Disc To Digital to add the license of the game to your account. In the second case, you simply log in with your Xbox profile to the app for Windows 10 or Windows 11 and download the game at no extra cost.

In other news, Microsoft may let Xbox Game Pass users build their own plan and pay only for what they want, from cloud gaming to online multiplayer.
