MOSCOW, October 21. /TASS/. Russia’s position on a potential "energy ceasefire" with Ukraine remains unchanged, as Moscow seeks peace rather than a truce, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters.

He also noted that the Kremlin has not yet reviewed a report by the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council on the potential consequences of Armenia suspending its membership in the EAEU.

Russian President Vladimir Putin is scheduled to hold talks with Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China Li Qiang in St. Petersburg today.

It is impossible to achieve a full settlement of the Ukrainian conflict without Kiev’s participation.

"Naturally, it is impossible to fully resolve the Ukrainian issue without a representative from Kiev being present. Therefore, someone in Kiev must make a responsible decision. That is essential."

Finnish President Alexander Stubb simply repeating the general European stance on Ukraine is unlikely to contribute constructively to a resolution.

"We shall see what kind of constructive contribution Mr. Stubb might be able to make. If he can make a constructive contribution, that would be viewed positively. If not – if he can only repeat the shared European position – then it is unlikely to help constructively."

The Kremlin has not yet examined the report by the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council on the potential consequences of Armenia suspending its membership in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU): "No, we have not reviewed it. We have not reviewed it yet."
