MOSCOW, October 20. /TASS/. The question regarding the impact of the measures announced by the US concerning sanctioned oil tankers should be directed to the US Department of Energy, Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov has said.
It was previously reported that the US Department of Energy intends to allow sanctioned tankers to transport oil by re-registering them within a legal framework. US Secretary of Energy Chris Wright referred to this as converting them into a "good-guy fleet."
"You should address your question to the American side - to the US Department of Energy," Peskov replied when asked whether such a scheme would be beneficial for the market.
