MOSCOW, October 20. /TASS/. Russian Security Council Secretary Sergey Shoigu will meet with Secretary General of Oman’s National Security Council Idris al-Kindi on Tuesday to discuss deepening security cooperation between the two countries.

"Interagency consultations between Shoigu and Oman’s Idris al-Kindi will take place in Moscow on October 20," the Russian Security Council’s press service said.

"The previous consultations were held in Muscat in November 2025. Following those talks, the offices of the Russian and Omani Security Councils prepared a roadmap for deepening bilateral security cooperation for 2026-2028. It is expected to be signed during the consultations in Moscow," the press service added.

According to the press service, "the document aims to further improve the bilateral legal and treaty framework and includes concrete steps to strengthen relations between Moscow and Muscat."

In November last year, Shoigu visited Muscat at the head of an interagency delegation to discuss prospects for strengthening Russian-Omani security cooperation. As the Russian Security Council secretary noted at the time, amid ongoing global transformations, bilateral cooperation between Russia and Oman was not only showing strong resilience but was also gaining positive momentum.
