Influencer Lauren Zeigler has broken her silence after her two-year-old daughter, Bridget, went missing for 19 hours.

A frantic search erupted after the social media star's toddler wandered off from their home in Virginia last Thursday evening. 

Zeigler has gained over 150,000 followers on Instagram by documenting her daily endeavors as a mom-of-nine.

Thankfully, the youngster was found safe in the woods one day later, following an extensive, 19-hour search by the FBI.

Taking to Instagram on Sunday, Zeigler opened up about the incident, branding it as the 'most horrifying experience' of her life.

'I was not sure if I’d ever see Bridget alive again,' she wrote. 'Words will never be able to explain what [my husband] Nathan and I went through the 19 hours she was gone.

'And no words will be able to express our gratitude to everyone who was helping or praying.' 

Zeigler explained in the post that after her husband, Nathan, got home from work the entire family went outside to play while he worked in the front yard. 

Around 6.15pm, she said she headed inside to heat up dinner while Nathan stayed outside with the kids.

'When I had [dinner] ready, my 12-year-old daughter came in and asked if she could show me all of her plans for her 13th birthday party. We were looking at that while Nathan fixed the front door,' she went on.

'Bridget was outside helping Nathan find different screws that he needed for the door. Around [6.45pm] he came in to eat.'

The mom-of-nine said Bridget stayed outside playing in the yard with six of her siblings ranging in age from 15 to four.

'At 7pm I went to bring the kids in. When my six and four-year-old twins came up the stairs without her, I immediately felt something was wrong,' Zeigler added.

'I immediately ran out back calling for her. I ran to Nathan and told him I didn't see Bridget anywhere. I ran up the road towards the mailbox to see if she'd tried to go on a walk alone.

'When I got back, Nathan was on the phone with the police, it was about 7.15pm at that point.' 

She explained that their home is surrounded by about 200 acres of woods, most of which is 'covered in vines and thorns,' adding: 'It is incredibly hard to walk through... Bridget had never tried to go in [the woods] before.' 

Bridget was ultimately found by a dog roughly 19 hours later.

'She was lying in a thicket, stuck in thorns, sucking her pacifier about 1,000 feet back,' shared Zeigler. 

According to Zeigler, the toddler was 'a little scratched up from thorns' but outside of that, she was 'completely fine.' 

She praised the 'amount of help they received' as 'incredible,' explaining that in addition to the dogs, a 'helicopter, drones, fire departments from multiple cities, police from multiple cities, civilians and more' all got involved.

'Words will never be able to describe how traumatic and horrifying this experience was,' Zeigler concluded.

'Words will also never express the gratitude I feel for all of the people and all of the dogs that came and helped search for her.

'I am overwhelmed with it all and wish I could thank everyone individually.'
