The Associated General Contractors of America and NCCER have published the 2026 Workforce Survey. The survey data indicates that, despite some market conditions softening, workforce shortages continue to affect projects. Demand is also being felt unevenly across different segments of the industry.

NCCER officials noted that addressing workforce shortages will require the industry to focus not only on attracting new workers, but also on developing and retaining them.
