After an “electric” weekend in Provo, ESPN’s “College GameDay” is sticking around the Beehive State. Just heading, oh, about 48 miles up the road.

ESPN’s traveling college football pregame show will be at the University of Utah ahead of the No. 10 Utes’ matchup against No. 14 Houston next Saturday in Salt Lake City.

This weekend, ESPN was in Provo for BYU’s contest against Notre Dame. It was the first time “College GameDay” had been at BYU since 2009.

That worked out well for the Cougars, who pulled off the upset over the Irish.

Will Utah have similar luck? The Utes may need it after getting a scare from Colorado on Saturday.

The Utes held on for a 27-24 win over the Buffaloes and now own the longest winning streak in the nation at 12 games.

It will be the second straight season “GameDay” has made its way to the U.’s campus. Last year, the show came for Utah’s matchup against Cincinnati, which the Utes won 45-14.

This will be the seventh time Utah has hosted “GameDay.” The Utes are 3-3 in those games.
