The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, attended the European Council meeting in Brussels on 15-16 October. Following today’s working sessions, she addressed journalists at a press point.

This morning, in the margins of the European Council meeting, President Meloni, together with Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen and Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten, held another informal meeting with some of the Member States that have the most interest in innovative solutions for the management of migration.

Yesterday, before the start of the working sessions, President Meloni took part in a coordination meeting of the 17 leaders of the ‘Friends of Cohesion’ group organised by Italy and Romania ahead of the negotiations on the next EU budget.
