In 2012, the same year she married Blackstock, Clarkson purchased a sprawling waterfront mansion in Hendersonville, Tennessee, for $2.86 million, records show. The three-story residence spanned 20,121 square feet, with seven bedrooms, eight full bathrooms, and three half-bathrooms across six acres along the Cumberland River. Clarkson and Blackstock undertook extensive renovations, though it’s unclear which features predated their ownership. Inside, a grand foyer with twin curved staircases and marble floors set the tone, while the rear terrace featured another pair of curved staircases leading down to a backyard with a large saltwater swimming pool, dining pavilion, and outdoor fireplace.

The grounds also included English-style gardens, a greenhouse, a sand volleyball court, and a private dock with a covered two-boat boathouse, providing access to nearly 100 miles of river. The couple listed the property for $8.75 million in 2017, but it took several years to find a buyer. It ultimately sold for $6.3 million in June 2020, after Clarkson and Blackstock had separated.

Clarkson and Blackstock commissioned a custom-built modern farmhouse in Los Angeles’s Encino neighborhood in June 2018, paying $8.5 million for the property. At 9,839 square feet, the residence offered eight bedrooms and 11 bathrooms, along with a home theater, gym, wine cellar, and an expansive kitchen outfitted with three islands. Handmade wooden barn doors and other rustic finishes reflected the couple’s country-inspired aesthetic, while the primary suite featured a fireplace, private patio, balcony, and an oversized walk-in closet.

Outside, a swimming pool and built-in barbecue area provided plenty of space for entertaining and raising the couple’s two children. Following their divorce, the house was listed for $9.995 million. It eventually sold to television executive Jeff Gaspin in September 2021 for $8.24 million.

In 2019, Clarkson bought a sprawling ranch near Philipsburg, Montana, for an undisclosed price. The property goes by several names, including Warren Peak Ranch, Pintler Vista Ranch, and High Road Ranch, which she referenced in her 2024 music video for You for Christmas. Property records show that the land is held through High Road Ranch LLC and covers roughly 844 acres spread across four parcels. Beyond all that open space, the ranch comes with extensive water rights, allowing water to be diverted from Trout Creek and Flint Creek for livestock and irrigation.

Unlike some of the sprawling mansions she’s owned over the years, Clarkson’s main home here is a lowkey log cabin. She later built smaller, one-bedroom cabins nearby so friends and family would have somewhere to stay. During the COVID-19 lockdown in 2020, she even filmed segments for The Kelly Clarkson Show from the ranch, giving viewers a peek at her Montana life. She’s since called it her “forever home.”

The property also became a sticking point in her divorce from Blackstock, who challenged her sole ownership. A judge initially ruled in Clarkson’s favor in 2021, finding that she held title to the ranch. The former couple reached an agreement in January 2022 that gave Blackstock a 5.12 percent ownership stake, valued at $908,800. Court documents put the ranch’s total value at $17.75 million. Clarkson kept the vast majority of the property and still owns it today.
