What’s next for “One Battle After Another” actress Chase Infiniti? THR reports it’s a horror movie over at Lionsgate, with Sam Raimi and Jordan Peele on board as producers.
The title of the film is “Portrait Of God,” and it’s Dylan Clark‘s follow-up to his upcoming “Blair Witch Project” reboot, also at Lionsgate. Clark released a short film under the same title online in 2022, scoring millions of views in the process. Shorts like that are what made Hollywood take notice of Clark: his YouTube videos put him on the map, and now Tinsel Town wants to see if he’s the next Curry Barker or Kane Parson. A successful team-up with Infiniti could guarantee that status.
There are no official plot details yet for “Portrait Of God,” but THR describes it as “a new twist on religious horror.” Raimi produces via his Ghost House Pictures banner, while Peele does so through Monkeypaw; it’s the first time the two horror filmmakers work together. Also producing are Rob Tapert via Ghost House and Win Rosenfeld for Monkeypaw. Romel Adam and Jose Cañas oversee the picture for Ghost House, while Chris Rosati is an executive producer via NAT20 Films.
“Portrait Of God” isn’t Infiniti’s first film since her breakout with Paul Thomas Anderson. She stars next in “The Julia Set,” which just had its world premiere at TIFF last month. That film is currently looking for a buyer. Infiniti also has a main role in Hulu‘s “The Testaments,” their follow-up to “The Handmaid’s Tale.”
Here’s a press statement for “Portrait Of God” via Lionsgate film head Adam Fogelson: “We’re delighted to deepen our creative partnership with Dylan Clark, whose remarkable talent and distinctive perspective make him one of the most exciting emerging voices in horror. With Sam and Jordan, two of the genre’s most influential producers, the extraordinary Chase Infiniti starring, and Dylan at the helm, this is an exceptional creative team. We believe they have all the ingredients for a film that is haunting, thought-provoking, and scary as hell.”
Expect “Portrait Of God” to get a late 2027/early 2028 theatrical release.
