Our annual WAGATHON is a cumulative marathon that you and your dog can complete anywhere, at your own pace, throughout September’s National Guide Dog Month. This year, 364 participants collectively logged over 7,000 miles – the equivalent of completing more than 265 marathons – while celebrating guide dogs and raising crucial funds to support Guiding Eyes for the Blind.

At Guiding Eyes, we’re committed to fostering life-changing connections between people who are blind and their guide dogs. Our WAGATHON community helped celebrate those connections in so many ways—hitting the pavement with four-legged partners, cheering each other on and making donations of all sizes.

Our Puppy Raisers give so much throughout the year, and nearly 90 raisers, plus their families and friends, went the extra 26.2 miles during this year’s WAGATHON. They were joined by more than 40 graduate guide dog teams, along with countless participants and their pet dogs.

We’re grateful to everyone who made WAGATHON 2026 a success!
