WASHINGTON, October 15. /TASS/. The 2028 Olympic Games in the United States should be "fair and open" to all athletes, including those from Russia, US Special Envoy for Global Partnerships Paolo Zampolli said in an interview with TASS.

"America should host Games that are secure, fair and open to every eligible athlete," the diplomat said, referring to the upcoming 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles.

"That would reflect [US] President [Donald] Trump's confidence in American leadership and [State] Secretary [Marco] Rubio's belief in practical engagement backed by clear rules," said the diplomat, who serves in both the White House and the US State Department.

The 2028 Summer Olympics will take place in Los Angeles, California, from July 14 to 30.
