The 43-year-old tourist reported his belongings missing at Chalong Police Station at about 5:50pm after leaving his sling bag on Nai Harn Beach while he went swimming for about 30 minutes.

When he returned, the bag was gone.

The bag contained an iPhone 17 Pro Max, a Realme Note smartphone, a wallet, cash, important documents and other personal belongings.

Police recorded the report and began searching for the missing property.

At about 10:10pm, officers received GPS coordinates from one of the missing devices. The location was near the rear entrance of the Laem Phromthep football field, opposite the Windmill Viewpoint in Rawai.

Chalong Police motorcycle patrol officers coordinated with the tourist and went to the location indicated by the GPS signal, where they searched for the missing belongings.

Most of the property was recovered and returned to the tourist.

Two items remain missing: B1,000 in cash and the Realme Note phone, valued at about B3,000. Police said they are continuing efforts to locate the remaining items.

Police urged tourists to take extra care of valuables when visiting beaches and other public areas, particularly when leaving belongings unattended while swimming.
