Photos have emerged of Ewan McGregor and his wife Mary Elizabeth Winstead meeting with locals at the Crieff Highland Gathering.
They are global superstars who regularly rub shoulders with the great and the good of Hollywood.
However, it’s clear Ewan McGregor and his wife Mary Elizabeth Winstead are just as comfortable embracing their new life in rural Scotland.
Photos have emerged of the pair, who own a £2 million property in the Carse of Gowrie, meeting with locals at the Crieff Highland Gathering last weekend.
The couple were there with McGregor’s brother Colin - with all three choosing to wear their own individual choice of tartan.
In one sweet image posted on social media, North Carolina-born Ms Winstead, 39, poses with a member of the public, looking decidedly relaxed and at ease in her surroundings.

She also looked the part, wearing a skirt made from a material with a tartan-style design featuring charcoal and off-white tones.
Her husband was also more than happy to meet with people on the day, posing for numerous photos with pipe bands, cadets and police to name a few.
The images showed him decked out in traditional attire, including a kilt in the ancient Crieff tartan.
His brother meanwhile wore a kilt that appeared to be in the modern hunting MacInnes tartan as well as a dark pullover.
The famous couple’s appearance at the event was not only a boon for organisers and locals but will also help promote Scotland’s fashion and textile industry.
Craig Halley, who heads up family-run Scottish kilt maker Slanj with his brother Brian, said: ‘It is great to see Ewan out wearing his kilt.
‘We supplied him with trews many years ago, but most Scots actors, if they wear a kilt at all, wear quite unusual versions of the kilt, so it is very refreshing to see such an icon of cinema wearing his home town’s traditional tartan and classic outfit so proudly.
‘To see Colin in a pullover jumper also shows how versatile a kilt is, as it doesn’t have to only be worn formally and looks great when worn much more casually.
‘These pictures will go across the world, so seeing Ewan in a kilt can’t help but be a good thing for us kilt and tartan merchants.’

The McGregor brothers and Ms Winstead joined thousands of people in Crieff’s Market Park for the annual event last Sunday.
McGregor, 53, was born in the town and has been reacquainting himself with the area since he and his wife - with whom he shares three-year-old son Laurie - bought their Scots home last year.
McGregor grew up in Crieff, in Strathearn, where he attended the local private school Morrison’s and where his parents still live.
And since snapping up the property he has been spotted out and about in a number of local haunts.
In January, he was seen on Dundee Waterfront outside a street food van where he bought a coffee, a doughnut and a bagel, while later in the month he stopped by Perth double glazing firm Balhousie Glazing to thank staff for installing windows at his new home.
McGregor’s return to Scotland has certainly been a long time coming. He left the country at 17 to go to drama school in London where he then settled following his breakthrough success in Danny Boyle films Shallow Grave and Trainspotting, and hasn’t lived in the UK since 2008, swapping the English capital for Los Angeles for decades.
In a recent interview, McGregor revealed he longed to reconnect with his roots.
He said: ‘I’ve lived in Scotland for less time than I’ve lived away from it, but I’ve never lost my love for it.’
