I have a dozen splits setup to random background folders every 3 minutes. About 2000 pictures in these folders.

I do not have Find Local Random Images using Less Memory checked.

Problem: The pictures selected do not seem to be very random. Of the dozen splits I run, it is very common that two or more will have the same background. This is not feasable with such a large pool to select from. It hasnt happened once, or twice. It happens VERY frequently atleast 1 in 10 cycles will have the same backgrounds, sometimes multiple splits will have the same but different backgrounds. It can be as often as every other cycle.

Also I notice many images appear quite often and some have never been set. This has bugged me for years. And while I'm here api's for DeviantArt and Reddit are still broken and either dont pull at all or are blurred. Are we about to lose MORE online background sources (yours sucks, sorry).

This is likely because we store a history per-monitor to make sure images don't repeat on that specific monitor. We're going to look into adding an option to make that history shared with all monitors so that an image should only be shown once until all images have been shown and the history clears again.

Deviant Art works for me when I test. We can't control the image size that gets returned by Deviant Art, it depends on the source image.

Reddit unfortunately will likely be removed. They've made changes that no longer allow us to access the API. We've submitted a request to approve our app, but it's pretty unlikely they will approve it. We've heard nothing from them since submitting it weeks ago.
