Las Vegas Raiders running back Ashton Jeanty briefly left Sunday’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs late in the third quarter with what appeared to be an ankle injury.

He returned on the next series, early in the fourth quarter after the Chiefs scored a touchdown to go ahead 17-13.

Jeanty walked under his own power as he was escorted by a member of the athletic training staff.

He did not go into the blue medical tent. Jeanty stood on the sideline with his helmet on and appeared to be lobbying to go back in the game.

The second-year pro has been dealing with an ankle injury he suffered during a preseason practice.

“I’m feeling all right,” he said after the 30-27 loss in which he had 15 carries for 58 yards and six catches for 68 yards. “Just got to get back to work and keep rehabbing and keep making it stronger.

“I feel like I’m going to be 100 percent real soon.”

Wide receiver Jalen Nailor left the game in the first half and was ruled out with a concussion.

He took a big hit over the middle from former UNLV defensive back Nohl Williams that was flagged for unnecessary roughness and did not return to the game.

The Raiders kicked a field goal three plays later to take a 10-7 lead.

Rookie offensive lineman Trey Zuhn left early in the game with a knee injury, but also returned.
