Every year, during the United Nations General Assembly in New York, Journal House convenes global leaders across business, policy, and international affairs for candid discussions on the macro forces shaping the world. Over three days, participants engaged with pressing issues—from the ongoing war in Ukraine and global energy security to financial agility and supply chain exposure.

One of the headline conversations was an exclusive sit-down between The Wall Street Journal’s Editor in Chief Emma Tucker and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. The program also featured perspectives from leaders at Amazon, Microsoft, UPS, Moderna, Carnival and the U.S. Department of Energy. 

Launching the WSJ Geopolitical Risk Council

Building on these discussions, this year’s Journal House marked the official launch of the WSJ Geopolitical Risk Council, bringing together senior leaders and experts to examine how geopolitical developments are changing the operating environment for businesses. The Council addresses a growing imperative for executive leadership: moving beyond passive news monitoring to evaluate the concrete business implications of global volatility across energy markets, capital allocation, trade security and strategic decision-making.
