Fife’s biggest funding event is set to return to Fife College’s Kirkcaldy Campus.
The Funders Fayre on Wednesday, October 14, brings together funders, support organisations and hundreds of people from across Fife’s voluntary and community sector.
Organised by Fife Voluntary Action (FVA), the free event is expected to attract around 500 people representing around 250 organisations, giving attendees the opportunity to speak directly to a wide range of funders and get advice on developing successful applications.
With increasing costs, increasing demand and increased competition for funding, securing grant income continues to be a major challenge for many voluntary organisations, the event will provide a valuable opportunity to find out what funding is available, make connections and get practical advice — all in one place.

More than 30 funders and support organisations are taking part, including Bank of Scotland Foundation, Creative Scotland, The Robertson Trust, The National Lottery Community Fund, and many more.
Event sponsored by Lindsays – solicitors that specialise in charity law - will run two workshops about charity governance.
Visitors can drop in throughout the day without an appointment to speak to funders at their stands. The programme will also feature a series of practical workshops covering topics including writing successful funding applications, trustee recruitment and responsibilities, insurance, cyber risks, monitoring and evaluation, and much more.
The event will also feature FVA and other organisations offering specialist support to voluntary groups, covering areas including governance, volunteering, community enterprise, legal advice, and accountancy.

Alex Turner, communications and engagement manager at FVA, said “Funders Fayre is all about making funding more accessible and helping organisations have the conversations that can make a real difference to their work.
“The response to Funders Fayre has been fantastic, and we’re looking forward to welcoming hundreds of people for what we hope will be another useful and inspiring day.
Kenny Murphy, chief executive of FVA, added: “We know that securing funding is becoming increasingly challenging, particularly when organisations are trying to plan beyond short-term funding cycles.
“Bringing funders and organisations together in one place gives people the opportunity to ask questions, understand what funders are looking for and explore the support available to help their organisation become stronger, more sustainable and resilient for the future.”
