We present a genome assembly from an individual female Betulapion simile (Birch Catkin Weevil; Arthropoda; Insecta; Coleoptera; Brentidae). The primary assembly has a total length of 1,089.72 megabases. Most of the primary assembly (97.93%) is scaffolded into 11 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the X sex chromosome. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 23.23 kilobases. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces genomes for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland.
