Chuck E. Cheese, the iconic children’s entertainment destination, is set to bring its newest concept to the Chicago suburbs next year.
The company announced Monday that 13 of its Adventure World locations will open across the United States in 2026 and 2027, including a planned location in south suburban Crestwood next year.
The exact location and opening date have not yet been announced.
Adventure World, the chain’s multilevel indoor playground, features 12,000 to 18,000 square feet of dedicated active play space, where kids can choose their own imaginative journey through themed areas featuring Chuck E. Cheese characters, according to a news release. Inside each play space, kids will find climbing structures, slides, ball pits, obstacles, a dedicated toddler zone for smaller children, a giant video wall and a digital live show starring Chuck E. and friends.
Admission is “one low price per child for all-day play,” though pricing for the planned location hasn’t been announced. The Power Up Station, featuring characters Pasqually and Helen Henny, will serve popcorn, nachos, pizza and wings.
Birthday parties, a longtime staple of Chuck E. Cheese, will also be available, with packages starting at $99.99 for six children. The facilities will feature Chuck E. Cheese’s Kid Check, a security system that stamps matching invisible UV codes on children and accompanying adults at entry.
Adventure World aims to compete in the growing indoor play center market alongside other chains like Urban Air Adventure Park and Kids Empire, as well as other entertainment destinations.
Since its founding in 1977, Chuck E. Cheese has long been known for its children’s entertainment offerings, arcade games and celebrations. The chain operates more than a dozen locations across the Chicago area, including in Arlington Heights, Gurnee, Tinley Park, Joliet, Naperville and other suburbs.
