MOSCOW, September 30. /TASS/. If China organizes a meeting between the leaders of Russia, China, and the United States -- Vladimir Putin, Xi Jinping, and Donald Trump -- on the sidelines of the APEC summit, it will be very useful, China’s ambassador to Moscow Zhang Hanhui told Izvestia.

"I believe that this is very useful. Because if we can organize such a trilateral meeting, it will be very beneficial for the development and formation of a multipolar world. Because Russia, America, and China are the UN Security Council permanent members; they are world powers. The future of this world depends on us," the Chinese diplomat noted.

He said that other countries should take China and Russia as an example of how to build "relations between neighboring states, between major states. And we will work together to contribute to the development of the economy, the global economy, and to maintaining peace and stability around the world."

Earlier, Russian Presidential Aide Yury Ushakov suggested that Xi, as the host of the upcoming APEC summit in Shenzhen, might take steps to organize the meeting.
