MOSCOW, September 29. /TASS/. There has been "some progress" in the dialogue between the United States and Iran, Pakistani Ambassador to Moscow Faisal Niaz Tirmizi told TASS.

"Yes, there is some progress, because that is what diplomacy is for. We always maintain communication channels open between all sides, which is why Pakistan is an honest mediator between the two countries, in the interests of peace and stability in the Middle East," he said in response to a question on the matter.

Earlier, US President Donald Trump said that Iran and the United States had established new contacts through intermediaries.
