BRUSSELS, September 28. /TASS/. The European Union extended until November 2028 the mandate of its military training mission for Ukraine (EUMAM UA) and announced plans to restore two training centers, EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas told reporters after the EU defense ministers’ meeting.

"On training, Member States agreed on the first step of strategic review of EUMAM, extending our mission for Ukraine for another two years," she said.

"We will also move ahead with establishing a coordination cell in Kyiv, focusing on the battlefield lessons and strengthening also military education," Kallas added.

The EU foreign policy chief said Brussels planned to modernize two training centers in Ukraine to speed up training of new soldiers. The project was financed by the Netherlands, Germany, Ireland, Denmark, and Luxembourg.
