A total of 7,034 candidates were absent for TNPSC Group I, IA exams held in Salem, Namakkal, Dharmapuri, and Krishnagiri districts on Sunday.

The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) conducted Group I and IA exams at 31 exam centres in Salem district on Sunday. A total of 12,873 candidates applied for the exams, and 9,806 candidates appeared. Salem District Collector K. Elambahavath inspected exam centres at Manakadu, Chinna Tirupathi and in Kumarasamipatti.

In Namakkal district, the exams were conducted at 19 exam centres, and of the 5,809 candidates who had applied, 4,506 appeared. Namakkal District Collector L. Madhubalan inspected exams centres at Velur Road and in Pappinaickenpatti. 

In Krishnagiri district, the exams were conducted in 13 exam centres, for which 2,676 candidates appeared. As many as 3,844 candidates had applied. District Collector C. Dinesh Kumar inspected an exam centre at Krishnagiri Government Boys Higher Secondary School.

In Dharmapuri district, the exams were conducted at 25 exam centre for 6,148 candidates. A total of 7,644 candidates had applied. District Collector V. Saravanan inspected exam centres at Adiyamankottai, Kundalpatti and Elakkiampatti.
