Luxury home furnishings company RH is giving its newest concept a building of its own in Connecticut.

RH Estates, The Gallery on Greenwich Avenue, brings RH Estates to North America for the first time, additionally housing the company’s first standalone gallery space. A second freestanding RH Estates gallery is slated to open on Los Angeles’ Melrose Avenue in 2027.

Opened Sept. 10, the new gallery spans nearly 20,000 square feet over two floors behind a limestone Beaux-Arts facade in the Greenwich Avenue Historic District.

Its address puts it across the street from RH Outdoor Greenwich and a short walk from RH Greenwich, The Gallery at the Historic Post Office. Together, the three storefronts form what the company calls its first complete RH Ecosystem, pairing several retail formats with hospitality in a single neighborhood.

Dining is handled by Cucina Angelina, an 88-seat Italian restaurant named in honor of the mother of RH chairman and CEO Gary Friedman.

Inside, the RH Estates assortment brings together original designs from the late California designer Michael Taylor, reproductions from Formations and couture upholstery by Dmitriy & Co.

RH first previewed the concept at RH Milan during Salone del Mobile and formally introduced it with the opening of RH London in Mayfair. The company expects to substantially widen the concept’s global retail footprint before the end of the year.

The Greenwich debut follows the launch of RH Milan, The Gallery on the Corso Venezia, a seven-level destination set inside a restored 18th-century palazzo (see story).
