CESI took part in the Jordan-Italian Round Table held on 17 September in Milan, organized by the Joint Italian Arab Chamber of Commerce, the Embassy of Jordan in Italy and ANIMA Confindustria.

The event brought together representatives of the Jordanian and Italian institutions, as well as companies interested in supporting the country’s development priorities. Discussions focused on investment opportunities in energy, infrastructure, regional interconnections, critical raw materials and public-private partnerships.

In the energy sector, Jordan presented plans related to power generation, grid development and energy storage, including battery energy storage systems and pumped-storage hydropower.

During the meeting, Alessio Cipullo, Italy and EU Public Affairs Manager at CESI, outlined the company’s experience in Jordan, where it has supported utilities, institutions and energy stakeholders on projects ranging from transmission and distribution planning to smart metering and sector reform initiatives.

The round table provided an opportunity to exchange views on the evolving needs of Jordan’s power system and the role that technical expertise can play in supporting infrastructure development and modernization.
