As a royal style writer, I'm always keeping a close eye on what members of the Royal Family are stepping out in next, as well as building a mental catalogue of their most-loved designers.

There's one under-the-radar Chelsea-based label that has cropped up multiple times this summer on the Duchess of Edinburgh - and now even Queen Camilla has been spotted wearing it.

Founded by Ellen Wiggin, Lexy London was first seen on Sophie in August 2025 and has quickly become a firm favourite in her wardrobe. To date, she has showcased 12 dresses and four skirts from the brand, proving that this is one label she keeps coming back to.

This summer, she has favoured the brand's Tara and Nancy dresses, showcasing four colourful versions between them in recent weeks.

Her penchant for cheerful dressing seems to have rubbed off on Queen Camilla, who surprised royal style watchers when she stepped out in Lexy London's paisley Deborah dress for the Sandringham Flower Show.

It's the label's vibrant, feel-good prints that make it so distinctive - and instantly recognisable to fans of the brand.

Whenever possible, Lexy London uses organic fabrics, sourced almost exclusively in Jaipur, where Ellen creates the brand's bespoke hand-block printed patterns and colourways.

The label is firmly rooted in the principles of slow fashion, working with small, local manufacturers that support highly skilled workers, provide healthcare and ensure excellent working conditions.

Pattern cutting, stitching and tailoring all take place in a single workshop, helping to keep the supply chain short. The brand also produces in small batches to minimise waste and avoid overproduction.

As a result, prices are higher than those you might expect from the high street, but the ethos is very much centred around buying fewer, better-quality pieces designed to stand the test of time.

Sophie has been particularly drawn to the Tara dress, wearing it in three different colourways.

It offers a little more arm coverage than Sophie's picks, with longer sleeves finished with shirred cuffs, as well as the all-important pockets.
