PYONGYANG, September 26. /TASS/. Secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea Jo Yong Won congratulated Dmitry Medvedev, the leader of the United Russia party, on winning the election to the 9th State Duma, the Korean Central News Agency reported on Saturday.

In a telegram sent on Thursday on behalf of the Central Committee of North Korea’s ruling party and himself, Jo Yong Won extended heartfelt congratulations and comrade greetings to all members of the All-Russian political party.

The North Korean political said hopefully the strategic and tactical cooperation between the two countries’ ruling parties would "continue to be intensified in thoroughly implementing the agreements reached" at the meetings between the leaders of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea and Russia.
