MOSCOW, September 24. /TASS/. The Kiev regime has stepped up attacks on the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) since April, with the situation becoming increasingly threatening, Russian Permanent Representative to the International Organizations in Vienna Mikhail Ulyanov said at a briefing.

"Since late April, the Ukrainians have sharply stepped up attacks on the ZNPP and Energodar. Rosatom Director General [Alexey] Likhachev even used the word 'genocide' in this regard. I do not want to enter into an expert discussion about how applicable this term is to one particular area, but the situation is indeed extremely serious," Ulyanov said.

"The West is taking this quite calmly. Without naming Ukraine, [IAEA Director General Rafael] Grossi describes in considerable detail the results of Ukrainian actions in the area," the Russian diplomat noted.
