MOSCOW, September 23. /TASS/. Russia’s coal exports are expected to gain 77% from 197.6 mln tons in 2024 to 350.1 mln tons in 2050 under the target scenario of the program for the coal sector’s development. Exports are projected at 266.7 mln tons in 2030 (up by 35% compared to 2024), and at 320.2 mln tons in 2036 (up by 62%), according to the program approved by the government.

Russia’s coal exports are expected to reach 227.9 mln tons in 2030, 238 mln tons in 2036, and 238.2 mln tons in 2050 under the program’s conservative scenario, and 243.5 mln tons, 288.7 mln tons, and 294.8 mln tons, respectively, under the status quo scenario. The stress scenario suggests a decline of exports to 192 mln tons in 2030, 141 mln tons in 2036, and 100.5 mln tons in 2050.

Coal imports to Russia are planned at 13 mln tons in 2030, and 12 mln tons each in 2036 and 2050 under the target scenario.
