Braden Peters, the 20-year-old content creator known online as Clavicular, has been charged in Massachusetts with three offenses: rape, drugging a person for sexual intercourse, and procuring liquor while under 21. The liquor charge is a misdemeanor.

Peters built his following in the “looksmaxxing” community, where young men chase ways to boost their physical attractiveness — sometimes through extreme methods. Now the influencer who told them how to look their best is facing serious criminal allegations.

Online court records list May 23, 2025, as the date of the alleged offenses. The charges were filed on Sept. 8, 2026, and Peters is scheduled to be arraigned on Oct. 14. In keeping with Massachusetts law, the records don’t identify the alleged victim, and further details about the allegations haven’t been made public.

A representative for Peters told People that “Clavicular has not been physically served” and accused The Bulwark, which first reported the charges, of “exaggerating for traffic.” The Bulwark responded that Peters’ spokesman hadn’t identified any factual errors in its reporting and pointed to the publicly available court records.

The criminal charges follow an April lawsuit filed in Florida by influencer Aleksandra Vasilevna Mendoza, known online as Alorah Ziva. Mendoza, now 18, alleged that she met Peters in 2025 while she was underage and that he paid her $1,000 to film four “looksmaxxing” videos.

According to the complaint, Peters later sent an Uber to bring Mendoza to his parents’ home in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. She alleged that he served her multiple servings of vodka, that she became visibly intoxicated, and that he had sex with her. She also claimed she later “woke up with Peters penetrating her and having sex with her, again, without her consent.”

Mendoza further alleged that when the two met again during a November 2025 stream, Peters injected Aqualyx into her face without her permission. Aqualyx is intended to dissolve fat deposits and isn’t approved by the FDA. The complaint said Peters suggested methamphetamine had been mixed into the injection and that Mendoza appeared drugged afterward.

The online court records don’t say whether the new criminal charges are connected to Mendoza’s lawsuit. Peters’ attorney, Steve Kramer, previously said her allegations “remain unproven” and that Peters “denies the claims and disputes the characterization of events.” Kramer said Peters intends to defend himself through the legal system.

On Sept. 21, Peters responded to the lawsuit on X by posting alleged messages and a letter from Mendoza. He wrote, “Trying to get my attention in anyway [sic] possible, a lawsuit? Seriously… really petty of you.”
