From 10 AM–8 PM each day, the intentionally designed hi-fi room will continuously hold sound works by independent artists, sound practitioners, and Princeton students and faculty,bringing together drones, frequencies, oral histories, compositions, and experiments. Visitors are invited as co-listeners, staying for five minutes or much longer. Live listening experiences, performances, and an intergenerational artist-led workshop will unfold throughout the week, allowing different practices and ways of listening to exist together.Interaural Space draws from the work of composer Maryanne Amacher (1938–2009). These words describe the internal, 3-dimensional space created by the listener’s own ears; the perceptual space that emerges through sound.Hours & AdmissionThe exhibition is free and open to the public.
