Frustrating result. Good game, especially in the second-half. I think we went toe to toe with them and they are flying at the moment. We had the opportunity to score, I think it was deserved, didn't score and 30second after we conceded the goal.

This is the level. I think they are relentless. When you don't seize your opportunities it's hard.

The first-half we were a bit reserved, respectful, knowing their threat and the way they play. The way they can damage your defence. So we were really well-organised, but we agreed at half-time it was important to show our quality with the ball. And that we did really well managing long balls at times and short balls when it was possible to play and we created chances.

Sunderland certainly deserve some love for that performance.

They may have ended up on the wrong side of the scoreline in the end, but my word, they really gave Arsenal a game.

If not for a world-class penalty save from David Raya, then the hosts may well be walking away from the Stadium of Light tonight with three points against the champions.

But unfortunately for them, Raya is just a joke of a goalkeeper and Arsenal always manage to find a way these days.

Sunderland should take a lot of positives away from that performance, though; they were superb. The bravery, the energy, the passion. All top level.

I don't see them in a relegation battle this season.

On David Raya:

Very good saves. He keeps us alive in the game, that unbelievable moment saving the penalty. I think after this moment we want [from it] a big confidence to play forward and score our goal. Everything for this guy he's an unbelievable player.

We have to watch this.

Bruno Guimaraes must have been dreaming of downing his old enemy, Sunderland, last night, even though he no longer plays for Newcastle.

And well, his dreams came true tonight- and how. It wasn't just any old goal from the Brazilian to silence the Stadium of Light; it was a screamer.

Strikes that go in off the bar are just better.

Arsenal fans, you are going to want to see this.

That win sees the Gunners leapfrog rivals Manchester City to go top of the table after four games.

Now they are there; good luck trying to budge them. It feels like a 'catch me if you can' moment.

But these guys are not Leonardo DiCaprio, but better...

David Raya’s save was a massive moment. A world-class stop which put Arsenal on track for the win in front of a passionate home crowd. He was the architect here for the three points.

David Raya and that Arsenal defence are just a joke; they simply don't concede goals.

Well, that's technically not factually correct, but still, they have only conceded once in six games this season.

People believe that Chelsea's outrageous record og just 15 goals conceded in the 2004-05 season will never be beaten, but I'm just not sure.

If anybody is ever going to beat it, it's this Arsenal side.

I didn't think Arsenal would get much better than last season, but they have.

You just never think they are going to concede, let alone lose.

They even survived a penalty and a crazy amount of chances from Sunderland today, and once they scored, you just knew they would get the three points.

It's only been four games, but these four games already have me betting my house on the Gunners winning the league. It almost feels a certainty.

Another ominous result for the rest of the league.

That's just what champions do.

Arsenal weren't at their best, but they just don't need to be. When you have a backline like theirs, you always get the job done.
