Never say never.
Our house has been heavily stocked with Crocs for years now. At any given moment, there are usually multiple pairs abandoned by the back door, scattered across bedrooms, or tossed into the car after sports practice. All five kids love their Croc clogs, but I’ve stayed firmly in the “absolutely not” camp.
Not because I doubted the comfort. I’ve borrowed the girls’ pairs enough times to know they feel like walking on marshmallows. But the classic clog look was a hard pass for me.
Then Crocs started making sandals.
And not just sporty pool sandals or beach shoes, actual minimalist strappy platform sandals that look surprisingly sleek on. Basically the exact kind of sandal style I already reach for every summer because they go with everything: shorts, dresses, jeans, linen pants, whatever. Except these are shockingly comfortable too.
And for the team’s take on the Miami Crocs, check it out here.
Lightweight, cushy, and genuinely easy to walk in, these styles surprised me in the best way. So much so that I had a hard time narrowing down which styles (and colors!) I wanted to keep.
These are the styles I’m still trying to decide between…which probably tells you how much I liked them.
(I also have to shout out this gifted set from WNU because I LOVE it. It’s their Weekend Shirt + Boxers in the Tencel Lyocell fabric, and I’ve been wearing it nonstop lately. Super soft, lightweight, ridiculously comfortable, and perfect for warmer weather. I was honestly surprised by how well both pieces fit too.)
These were an immediate yes, and honestly the hardest part was narrowing down the color. The black pair was my personal favorite because they go with literally everything, but I also think the red would be really fun if you want more of a pop of color with summer outfits. The brown is such a good neutral, and the white would be really cute for summer too. Plus, these clean easily, so I wouldn’t stress too much about the lighter color getting dirty.
I really liked the thin ankle strap and square toe shape, and they somehow work with basically everything I’ve tried them on with so far.

They’re also ridiculously comfortable. Lightweight, cushy, flexible right out of the box, and genuinely easy to walk in all day without that stiff “flat sandal” feeling.
Sizing-wise, these definitely run big. I originally ordered an 8 (my usual size) and exchanged them for a 7, which fit much better.
Another immediate yes, and these come in a ton of fun colors. I’m especially loving the metallic gold and silver versions, and the blue pair is currently 40% off. (Under $25? Very hard to talk myself out of adding those too.)
These feel like a slightly more elevated flip flop, and I love the tiny wedge for just a bit of height. They’re lightweight, super flexible, and really easy to walk in all day.
Miami Thong Sandal: Crocs | Zappos | Amazon | shorts (6) | shirt (small)
I also think the simple thong shape makes them incredibly versatile. They work just as well with casual outfits as they do with dresses or linen pants on vacation. (I’ve been wearing them with my Ruti pants and they’re perfect.)
Sizing-wise, I’d still recommend sizing down. I exchanged my usual size 8 for a 7 in these too.
These come in even more fun colors, and while I liked this bright yellow in theory, it ended up being a little too neon for me in person. (The photo on the right is much more true to color.) I think I’d personally go with one of the translucent jelly shades instead, the sky blue and Pink Lemonade are both really cute.
This style feels like another fun twist on a basic flip flop, and I actually loved the toe loop detail more than I expected to. My biggest concern was whether the toe strap would annoy me or squeeze my foot, but it didn’t at all.
Miami Toe Loop Sandal: Crocs | Zappos | Nordstrom | Amazon | shorts (6) | shirt (small)
Like the others, these are super lightweight, comfortable, and easy to walk in. And like the others, I’d recommend sizing down if you’re between sizes.
Gahhh these were my favorites, and of course they’re now sold out basically everywhere. I’m still annoyed at myself for not sizing down in my original order because by the time I realized I needed a smaller size, the black and brown pairs were gone. I’m currently on the waitlist for both colors, although the white and guava versions are still in stock.
I love the extra height from the platform, and the two straps are PERFECT. These would instantly solve my problem of certain summer pants being slightly too long on me without needing to wear an actual heel.
Miami Platform Y Strap Sandals: Crocs | Zappos | shorts (6) | shirt (small)
They somehow hit that sweet spot of being casual enough to wear every day while still looking polished enough to dress up with a dress, skirt, or linen pants. Lightweight, ridiculously comfortable, and honestly just really good on.
Absolute LOVE for these.
The Miami styles definitely lean more minimal and strappy, while the Brooklyn line feels a little more substantial, with more height and more support. These almost feel more like an actual comfort sandal, just way cuter than most comfort sandals tend to be.
I found these to run true to size. I ordered my usual size 8, and they fit really well. The straps are made from that lightweight Crocs material, while the bottom has a cushy foam footbed that’s genuinely comfortable to walk in for long periods of time.
Brooklyn Low Wedges: Zappos | Crocs | DSW | Amazon | shorts (6) | shirt (small)
They also come in a bunch of good neutrals (including navy!), and I’m honestly debating exchanging this pair for the all black version because I know I’d wear them constantly.
Great lift, comfort, and walkability with these. They also come in a kork-bottom version at Crocs and DSW if you want something that looks a little more summery.
These are basically sold out everywhere too, which honestly doesn’t surprise me. They have that chunky fisherman sandal look that’s been everywhere lately, but they’re way lighter and more comfortable than most similar styles.
These definitely feel more substantial than the Miami sandals, with lots of support, cushioning, and a little extra height without feeling heavy or clunky. The velcro closure around the ankle (and adjustable lower strap) also makes them really easy to get a good fit.
Crocs Brooklyn Luxe Gladiator: Amazon | DSW | Nordstrom Rack | shorts (6) | shirt (small)
They’re water resistant, which makes them feel practical for travel and beach days, and they’re very comfortable, very walkable, and probably the pair I’d grab if I knew I was going to be on my feet all day.
I’d size down in these if in between sizes – the 8 here was a bit too big. Nordstrom Rack currently has them in army green in 7 and 8 while Amazon has them in black. I’ll keep checking for restocks!
So yes, I officially get the Crocs sandal hype now.
The Miami styles were definitely my personal favorites. I loved the minimal, strappy look and how easy they were to throw on with basically everything in my closet. The Brooklyn styles leaned chunkier, sportier, and a little more “comfort sandal” in the best way, especially if you want more height or support.
If you’ve been curious about Crocs sandals but still mentally associate the brand with the classic clogs, same. But these genuinely feel like a completely different category, and several of these pairs have already worked their way into my regular summer rotation.
XOXO,
Scotti
