The Community Council of Greater Dallas is hosting Family Fit Fest this Saturday. They want families to check out the annual community health and wellness expo that offers free health screenings, games and prizes.
The event used to be called “Get Kidz Fit Fest.”
They’re expecting more than 3,000 attendees and more than 100 organizations offering resources and services, ranging from informational resources to exciting entertainment, that will ensure everyone is nutritionally, physically, mentally, financially, civically, and spiritually fit. Activities and resources that put an emphasis on those six crucial categories include themed workshops, live fitness classes, activities for kids, job recruitment and financial literacy, as well as voter registration, meditation, and prayer.
Families have access to all the above activities, plus entertainment that includes live music, a photo booth, and more! Food trucks will also be on site, at an additional cost. The first 500 attendees will receive a free t-shirt. Parking and admission to the event are free!
NBC 5’s Brittney Johnson and Telemundo 39’s Martha Minjárez will be in attendance.
The Shops at Redbird is at 3662 West Camp Wisdom Rd. in Oak Cliff.
