MINSK, 28 August (BelTA) – The governments of Belarus and Russia are finding mutually beneficial solutions, though challenges remain, Belarusian Prime Minister Aleksandr Turchin told the First News TV channel, BelTA has learned.

The prime minister noted that Belarus-Russia cooperation traditionally covers a broad spectrum, ranging from energy and industrial goods to food products. “That is the entire spectrum. Because today our trade volume is huge. Therefore, systematic work is underway in all areas,” he stated.

“You probably can’t say that everything is perfect, nor should it be, because each side has its own interests,” Aleksandr Turchin emphasized. “However, we find mutually beneficial solutions that allow us to increase mutual trade and implement joint projects. This is a daily job that is moving forward today, and it is going quite well.”

According to him, the governments of both countries are working very closely, and the Belarusian side has developed strong relations with the Russian prime minister, deputy prime ministers, and ministers. “Everything is going well. But I will repeat once again that challenges remain,” the Belarusian prime minister said.
