Christine McGuinness showed off her washboard abs in a tiny pink bikini as she soaked up the sun during a family holiday on Sunday.

The model, 35, was forced to extend her holiday following a 'huge failure' of the national air traffic control system, which has caused delays and cancellations of flights.

However, Christine kept in full spirits and made use of the extra time away as she relaxed on the sun lounger.

She took to Instagram and showed off her chiselled abs and tiny waist in the strapy two-piece and showed off her natural beauty with a bare face.

The Real Housewives of Cheshire star put on a busty display and flashed her ample cleavage in the skimpy beachwear.

It comes after Radio host Jordan North was left stranded at Malaga airport due to the air traffic chaos on Monday.

Britain's National Air Traffic Services (NATS) said it experienced 'technical issues' that forced controllers to switch from an automatic system for landing and dispatching flights to a manual one.

Updating her fans on the issue, Christine embraced the problem and recalled that everything happens for a reason.

She took to Instagram on Monday and wrote: 'Stranded due to network failures across the UK airports.

'No idea when we can get a flight home but I feel very lucky we found a place to stay.

'I get extra time to make more memories with my babies.'

She later added another post and penned: 'I trust the universe. I had jobs booked all week, a million things to do at home getting ready to prep for 'back to school' but...

'We were meant to stay longer, we have more memories to make, time with my babies is priceless, I actually feel very grateful, we're not home, but we have everything we need'. 

Christine has jetted off on a late summer break with her three children before they head back to school. 

The snaps come after Christine made a rare statement about her relationship with her ex-husband last week after the pair celebrated his 50th birthday together.

The TV personality 'spilled the tea' about the amicable former couple who live together in their family home to co-parent their children, Penelope, nine, and twins Felicity and Leo, seven.

Taking to her Instagram Stories, she said the family had celebrated TV star Paddy's 50th together, sharing a shot of his birthday cake.

Hitting back at reports she skipped the occasion, she wrote: 'Patrick is my ex, my ex of well over a year (let me just remind you, I did not cause the breakdown of our marriage). I have never spoken about this fully and I will also remind everyone that I am not silenced and will speak/when I choose to.

'I got him a birthday cake, presents and made cards with our children. I done this for our children to celebrate daddy's birthday...

'We spent his 50th at home together and we celebrated separately with his friends on various different holidays over the last few weeks... Trust me, I wish I was still on that holiday.

'Don't believe everything you read. Yours sincerely, just a mum doing the best she can while living with her ex going through a divorce smiling when she wants to cry and juggling the summer holidays.'
