The Tesla A15 chip is to be fabbed concurrently on the 2nm processes of TSMC in Taiwan and Samsung’s Taylor, Texas fab.

TSMC’s Arizona fab site may be added to the mix and, eventually, Tesla’s Texas Terafab.

A15 is designed to deliver 2,000 to 2,500 TOPS and support 144GB of unified memory with data transfer speeds between 768 GB/s and 1,536 GB/s depending on final configuration.

The chip draws a peak of 800W with software optimised to scale down power usage to 150-250W during standard usage.
