Lenovo Legion Y700 Infinite gaming tablet leak imageLenovo's upcoming Legion Y700 Infinite gaming tablet has appeared in real-world photos ahead of its launch. The tablet is expected to feature an 8.4-inch OLED display, 5G connectivity, a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor and 68W charging.
The latest photos show the Legion Y700 Infinite in a store, giving us a closer look at its dark blue finish, Legion branding and overall design ahead of its launch.
The photos were posted on Weibo on August 15 and show the tablet being held in landscape mode. The front image shows its Android-based interface, while the rear reveals a single camera with an LED flash.
Lenovo has confirmed that the Legion Y700 Infinite will launch in China on August 25. The company has also revealed an 8.4-inch OLED display and 5G support, which are two of the main changes from the previous model.
The OLED panel has a 2,560 x 1,600-pixel resolution, 165 Hz refresh rate and 3,400 Hz touch sampling rate. The tablet will also use an overclocked Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. Lenovo claims an AnTuTu score of 4,585,844 points, which we covered in an earlier report.
Lenovo is also paying attention to cooling, especially because of the overclocked chip. The Legion Y700 Infinite is expected to use a 15,000 mm² vapor chamber to help keep temperatures under control during heavy gaming and other demanding tasks.
Recent leaks have revealed some of the remaining hardware. The base version is expected to come with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, while the top model could offer 24 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage. A 7,470 mAh battery with 68 W charging is also expected, along with an 8 MP front camera and a 50 MP rear camera.
The same leak points to a 6.5 mm-thick chassis weighing around 298 grams (0.66 lb). Dual USB-C ports and a fingerprint reader are also expected.
Lenovo has also confirmed accessories including the G9 controller and CR7 Supreme Cooler Kit. We previously reported on these accessories.
Lenovo is expected to reveal the tablet's pricing and availability details at the August 25 launch. International availability has not yet been confirmed.
