Vivo’s gaming-focused sub-brand, iQoo, has launched its latest performance-oriented smartphone, the Neo 11 Ultra, in China. iQoo has packed the flagship chip from MediaTek. Speaking more precisely, the Neo 11 Ultra is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500M processor paired with up to 16 GB LPDDR5X Ultra memory and 512 GB UFS 4.1 storage. For those who aren’t aware, the Dimensity 9500M is a slightly inferior version of the original Dimensity 9500 with one fewer GPU core.
The smartphone also packs a dedicated Q2 gaming chip, which is said to upscale games to 2K resolution. The 8K Ice Dome 3D VC liquid cooling system handles thermals during long gaming sessions. You get a big 6.83-inch Visionox F2 LTPS AMOLED screen that outputs at a 3200 x 1440 pixel resolution with a 144 Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 4,500 nits.
The Neo 11 Ultra features a dual rear camera setup, consisting of a 50 MP primary camera and an 8 MP ultra-wide lens. Upfront, there is a 16 MP snapper for selfies and video chats. A large 9,100 mAh silicon-carbon battery powers the entire device and supports 100 W wired charging (Anker Nano 100 W charger curr. at $35.99 on Amazon). Unfortunately, there’s no wireless charging support here.
Other features include an aviation-grade aluminum frame, IP68/IP69 water and dust resistance, an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers, an infrared sensor, and a 400 Hz gyroscope for vibration feedback in games.
Available in wind chaser, black, and white colorways, the iQoo Neo 11 Ultra starts at CNY 3,399 (~$563) for the 12 GB + 256 GB model, while the top-end 16 GB + 512 GB variant is priced at CNY 4,399 (~$652). Buyers can now purchase the smartphone directly from Vivo China’s official store. The company hasn’t revealed any details about its international availability.
