Earlier this month, Motorola unveiled the new Moto Pad 70. Now, the table is officially available for purchase in the Indian markets. Speaking more precisely, the Moto Pad 70 is priced at ₹34,000 ($355) for the 8 GB + 256 GB model. Although there's also an 8 GB + 128 GB model available, the company hasn’t revealed its pricing. Interested buyers can purchase the tablet directly from Motorola’s official website and Flipkart.
Specs-wise, the tablet has pretty much similar specs to the Pad 70 Groove, albeit with a few tweaks. For example, the former comes with a 90 Hz panel, while the latter ships with 120 Hz. Another difference is that the Pad 70 Groove features a slightly superior MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chip. On the other hand, the Pad 70 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 chipset paired with 8 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of internal storage with room for storage expansion up to 2 TB via microSD card.
The device features a 12.1-inch IPS LCD display that resolves at 2560 x 1600 pixels with a peak brightness of 800 nits. Plus, it covers 96% of the DCI-P3 color gamut. As for lenses, you get a 13 MP rear camera with autofocus and an 8 MP snapper at the front for selfies and video chats. Interestingly, the Pad 70 is compatible with the Moto Pen stylus and Moto Folio Keyboard, which connect through pogo pins.
The model has a slim yet lightweight design, measuring just 6.29 mm (0.24 inches) in thickness and weighing 530 grams (1.16 lbs). Motorola has managed to squeeze in a large 10,200 mAh battery into the slim metal chassis of the Pad 70, and it supports 68 W wired charging (Ugreen Nexode Pro 100 W charger curr. at $59.99 on Amazon). Software-wise, the new Motorola pad runs Android 16 out of the box, and the company promises two major OS updates (Android 17 and 18) and four years of security patches until 2030.
