Leaks from retailers have already revealed many details about the features. According to these leaks, the Beats 360 are Apple’s first over-ear headphones certified to IPX4 standards, making them resistant to rain and sweat. Active noise cancellation is said to be 75 percent more effective than on the Beats Studio Pro. The headphones support virtual surround sound with head tracking.

Apple touts "all-day" battery life, even with noise cancellation enabled, and compatibility with both the Apple iPhone and Android smartphones via the Beats app. Although the headphones cannot be folded, it is still possible to rotate the ear cushions 90 degrees for a more compact size during transport.
