AOC has added yet another gaming monitor to its ever-growing arsenal. Dubbed the AQ27G4ZRAD/01, the brand is clearly staying true to its tradition of drawing naming inspiration from anti-theft passwords. The 27-incher features QHD resolution, and a host of other features.
The 16:9 panel utilizes the Fast IPS technology, allowing for promising viewing angles at the cost of contrast performance (1000:1). AOC claims an impressive 95% coverage of the professional DCI-P3 wide color gamut, and a whopping 123.6% coverage of the sRGB gamut.
What gamers undoubtedly care more about, is refresh rate. The gaming monitor shines in this regard, sporting a peak refresh rate of 260 Hz (overclocked from 240 Hz). AOC has also claimed response times of 1 ms GtG and 0.3 ms MPRT, which is typical for a monitor in this segment.
The new AOC gaming monitor features a design language that is very typical of the brand, complete with red accents.Brightness peaks at 400 nits, at least on paper. The I/O on offer is pretty standard, featuring dual HDMI 2.0 ports and a single DisplayPort 1.4 port. A built-in USB hub would have been a sweet addition, but is unfortunately missing from the gaming monitor's IO panel.
Ergonomic adjustments include -3 to 21-degree tilt, -28 to 28-degree swivel, and 90-degree pivot. Height adjustment is also possible, up to 130 mm. A low blue-light mode is also present for folks looking to get some comfortable shut-eye after long work sessions at night.
The AOC Q27G4ZRAD/01 gaming monitor is already available on Amazon UK, priced at £229 or roughly $312. Exact US availability and pricing details are yet to be shared. Folks who require a budget-oriented gaming monitor sooner can check out the 27-inch LG UltraFear GR83Q-B, currently available for $265 on Amazon.
