A new gameplay leak for Grand Theft Auto VI shows Jason stealing a hypercar and driving it through Vice City. The vehicle appears to be GTA’s equivalent of the Bugatti Divo. On Reddit, fans have since picked the scene apart – and spotted several interesting details in the process.

As we previously reported, Jason first has to smash the window of the locked sports car to steal it. This suggests that occupied vehicles may no longer simply open at the press of a button and that stealing cars in GTA 6 could be a more involved process. After breaking in, Jason has to pull the driver out of the car in a brief struggle, which also drains his stamina bar. Fans suspect that stronger NPCs or gang members could put up more of a fight when players attempt to steal their vehicles.

The sports car’s brake discs are particularly noticeable, as they visibly begin to glow under heavy braking. Fans see this as another indication that Rockstar is simulating vehicle mechanics in greater detail this time around. Another clue is the rear spoiler, which raises during hard braking.

The handling is also interesting. When crossing a railroad track, the hypercar’s suspension visibly compresses, suggesting softer and potentially more realistic driving physics. Fans believe the handling could fall somewhere between GTA 4 and GTA 5: heavier and more believable than in its direct predecessor, but not quite as sluggish as in GTA 4. The damage model also appears to be more detailed, as the car’s left side mirror breaks off after a collision.

Another noticeable detail is an icon above Jason’s pickup truck, which he leaves behind before stealing the hypercar. It strongly resembles the familiar marker for personal vehicles. Fans therefore suspect that players in GTA 6 (available for pre-order on Amazon) may be able to choose which car belongs to them. Another theory is that vehicles players have used will no longer simply disappear, but instead remain in the game world until they take another car. Whether there is actually such a system behind the icon or whether it is simply tied to a mission remains unclear for now.

The minimap also appears to be new, seemingly displaying bridges and elevated roads in three dimensions. This could make navigating multi-level highways considerably easier. As in the first two gameplay leaks, icons for fuel and engine condition can also be seen above the minimap. This once again reinforces the theory that cars in GTA 6 will need to be refueled and could suffer engine damage if players treat them too roughly.
