Foundations of Management for Breweries is a new online course available on the BA Training Center. Active Brewers Association (BA) members and their staff have free access to this course and all other courses in the training center. (If you are a member or an employee of a BA member business but do not have a login, please reach out to the BA Membership Team.)

This course gives you and your employees the tools and knowledge to build a high-performing, collaborative, values-driven team. Topics include:

• Understanding your leadership style
• Increasing employee engagement
• Ensuring legal compliance
• Navigating the full employee life cycle with practical, easy-to-implement solutions

Foundations of Management for Breweries is the perfect starting point to foster excellent management and leadership at your brewery.

BA members who take this course have the opportunity to attend an interactive online session that expands on the Foundations of Management for Breweries course. Under the guidance of the Brewers Association Human Resources Director Holly Haslam, attendees of the online session will be placed in a ~30-person cohort of brewery industry peers and have the opportunity to work with and learn from each other.

Interested BA members can apply for the cohort using this form. The application period closes on August 17, 2026.

Note: People will be accepted into cohorts on a first-come, first-served basis. Applying does not guarantee acceptance. A BA representative will reach out to accepted applicants with more information and a suggested course completion date. There will be a waitlist if demand exceeds the cohort size.
