Singapore, the “Little Red Dot”, is a tiny island nation that packs an incredible punch, blurring the lines between sci-fi architecture and ancient cultures. This energetic city is bursting with jaw-dropping attractions, from stunning vertical gardens to thrilling theme parks.

1. Gardens by the Bay

This park is the result of Singapore’s commitment to being a “City in a Garden”. You must see the Supertree Grove, a collection of towering, artistic structures that act as vertical gardens. Every evening, these Supertrees come alive with the spectacular Garden Rhapsody light and music show. Head inside the cooled conservatories; they’re unmissable. The Cloud Forest features the world’s tallest indoor waterfall, and the Flower Dome showcases beautiful plants from cool, dry climates around the world.

Just a short walk or quick MRT ride from accommodations by Worldwide Hotels, Little India holds your senses with a brilliant explosion of colours, sounds, and scents. This historical neighbourhood is a fantastic place where Singapore’s sleek modernity meets traditional Indian culture. Wander past flower garland vendors, explore the vibrant Tekka Centre market for affordable street food, and marvel at the intricate architecture of the Sri Veeramakaliamman Temple.

3. Sentosa Island

The locals call Sentosa the ‘State of Fun’, and it is a massive island resort that hits the sweet spot for families and thrill-seekers alike. It is home to major attractions like Universal Studios Singapore, where you can enjoy movie-themed rides and zones like Ancient Egypt and Hollywood. Beyond the theme park, Sentosa boasts pristine beaches, the fun Skyline Luge, and the massive S.E.A. Aquarium. Travelling to the island is also part of the fun; consider the scenic cable car ride for the best views.

4. Singapore Zoo and Night Safari

For an incredible wildlife experience, the Singapore Zoo is famous for replacing cages with open, realistic habitats. Right next door is the famous Night Safari, which is the planet’s original, game-changing nocturnal park. This amazing attraction allows visitors to see over 1,000 animals that are most active after dark, either by taking a guided tram tour or walking along quiet trails. It’s a unique, essential way to witness animals when they’re most active.

5. Chinatown

A stroll through Singapore’s Chinatown is a fascinating plunge into the city’s Chinese heritage. The district is characterised by beautifully restored traditional shophouses and winding street markets packed with affordable souvenirs and historically significant temples, such as the colourful Buddha Tooth Relic Temple. It is also a fantastic place to taste authentic and inexpensive hawker food. When considering your travel plans, choosing accommodation in Singapore within this vibrant area will give you direct access to fantastic food and cultural immersion.

6. Clarke Quay

Sitting right on the Singapore River, Clarke Quay is the city’s most happening entertainment and dining district. They took old historical warehouses and brilliantly transformed them into a colourful spot packed with restaurants, lively bars, and dance clubs, all shaded by unique, futuristic canopies. You can enjoy a delightful riverside dinner or take a relaxing river cruise from here to appreciate the cityscape from a different angle. The atmosphere is energetic and lively, especially during the evening hours.
