Flash Point
The SETA-CRM MCCCFP Flash Point Certified Reference Material is an ISO 17034 UKAS accredited Certified Reference Material (CRM) designed for the verification of Modified Continuously Closed Cup Flash Point (MCCCFP) testers operating in accordance with ASTM D7094.
Manufactured by Stanhope-Seta under the requirements of ISO 33405, with documentation compliant to ISO 33401, this single hydrocarbon reference material has been characterised using the interlaboratory comparison procedure defined in ASTM D7094 Appendix X1.1, providing laboratories with a reliable and traceable solution for routine instrument verification.
Available with nominal flash point values of 45 °C and 75 °C, the CRM supports laboratories performing ASTM D7094 testing while helping maintain confidence in instrument performance and supporting ISO 17025 quality systems.
Each 16 mL vial is supplied with an ISO 17034 Certificate, Safety Data Sheet (SDS) and has a three-year shelf life from the date of manufacture.
The Stanhope-Seta SETA-CRM range is designed to support routine instrument verification and ongoing performance monitoring. Each ISO 17034 Certified Reference Material is supplied with a certified value, measurement uncertainty, coverage factor and method limits, providing laboratories with the information needed to support ISO 17025 quality systems and demonstrate measurement traceability.
The compact 16 mL vial allows multiple aliquots to be taken from a single container, reducing waste while providing sufficient material for routine verification procedures. The 45 °C variant is also supplied under UN2222 and, due to its small container size, may be shipped as Limited Quantities in accordance with dangerous goods transport regulations, helping simplify international shipment.
In addition to routine quality control, SETA-CRMs can be used for operator training and competency assessment. Using a Certified Reference Material removes uncertainty when evaluating instrument performance, helping laboratories demonstrate competence during internal and external audits while reducing instrument downtime.
