Celeste Barber has suffered a vicious backlash over her latest skin-baring parody post.

The comedian, who is best known for her amusing takes on celebrity bikini pics, took aim at model Emily Ratajkowski in a Monday Instagram post.

However, some took exception to the 39-year-old's caption, with many social media commenters calling Barber a 'misogynist' in their comments.

Barber's original post showed her parodying a video of Ratajkowski's skimpily-clad behind.

She captioned the post, 'We are sick of you objectifying our bodies! Also, here’s my ass.'

Celeste was instantly called out by those claiming her words blamed women for their own objectification. 

'So... she basically asked for it? Is that what you mean?' demanded one critic on Twitter.

'The internalised misogyny is overwhelming,' pointed out another user.

'Misogyny is still misogyny even if you’re the one making fun of women babes xx,' commented a third. 

Another found the caption particularly galling given Ratajkowski had written an essay about her own feelings of objectification in The Cut.

Additionally, the Gone Girl actress has spoken out about being groped by singer Robin Thicke in his Blurred Lines video.

'Have you read Emily’s piece in The Cut? You should!' suggested one Twitter user. 

The outrage came after the Aussie comedian took on one of the world's hottest models -  Emily Ratajkowski.

In her Monday video, the funny lady mirrored Emrata's pose by leaning awkwardly against a wall in her backyard. 

Like Emily, Celeste teetered on sky-high stilettos - however she stood on Astroturf instead of the concrete-floored surface of the supermodel's fashion shoot. 

Barber also leered salaciously at the camera, unlike her stony-faced counterpart.

She captioned the spoof post, 'We are sick of you objectifying our bodies! Also, here’s my a**.' 

Ratajkowski, 30, is known for her scantily clad Instagram posts, often advertising her own line of swimwear. 

Celeste's funny post comes after she announced her tour of Australia.

The tour, called Fine, Thanks, begins in Newcastle in May 2022 and finishes up in Sydney in June.

'I’ve been stuck inside staring at a wall for the best part of two years, so trust me when I say I’m ready to pack a suitcase, reacquaint myself with what the inside of a plane looks like and get back on stage,' the comedian said. 

'Everyone in my house is sick to death of listening to me bang on so it’s time to find some new ears to chew off. Plus mama’s got bills to pay,' she added.
