David looks at the impact of warming that’s already happening, and sets out practical steps we can all take to prepare for what’s coming.
This is a follow up talk from the talk David gave us last season. In David’s words: ”It’s quite different to his introductory talk“ Climate and Ecological Crisis? What’s all the fuss about ? Whilst equally science-based and accessible, rather than “trying to get our society on the right track” it accepts our current situation for what it is, explains the impact of warming that’s already in the pipeline, and sets out practical steps we can all take to prepare for what’s coming. Both presentations are kept bang up to date with the latest science.
A very topical talk given this year’s hot and dry summer.
The talk includes the opportunity for questions and discussion. There is a break for refreshments.
The talk begins at 7.30 but door open from 7pm. Help is appreciated for putting out chairs and tables and putting them away again.
About the speaker
David Ramsden MBE, is an experienced, many say “inspirational” speaker who’s been giving presentations since 1988 linked to the Barn Owl Trust and from 2019, Climate Change.
He’s been actively involved in nature conservation since 1984 and in 2007 he received the MBE for “Services to Wildlife” accepting the award on behalf of the Barn Owl Trust which he co-founded.
In 2017 he became increasingly concerned about our global situation - the loss of species and what scientists were saying about climate change – so he further researched the impacts and what we can do about it resulting in his recent presentations.
