The new Mercedes-Benz C-Class EV is now available to order in Europe with prices starting at €67,711 ($80,000).

Mercedes C-Class EV priced at $80K with 473 miles range

A little over two weeks after its official debut, Mercedes opened orders for the new C-Class EV in Europe on Wednesday.

The new Mercedes C 400 4MATIC is now available to order in Germany, starting at €67,711 ($80,000), including VAT, with a WLTP driving range of up to 473 miles (762 km). For businesses, Mercedes is offering the new electric C-Class for as low as €56,900 ($66,900), excluding VAT.

On Mercedes’ website, the C 400 4MATIC is available to lease from $550 (€470) a month. The new electric sedan is “the sportiest C-Class ever with outstanding long-distance capability,” Mercedes said.

In real-world long-distance driving, the new C-Class EV can drive well over 621 miles (1,000 km) with a single quick charging stop, or enough to go from Berlin to Paris.

Thanks to an 800-volt architecture, the new electric C-Class boasts a peak charging speed of 330 kW, enough to add over 200 miles (325 km) in just 10 minutes.

The electric sedan rides “as smooth as an S-Class,” according to Mercedes, with rear axle steering and optional AIRMATIC air suspension.

The Mercedes C 400 4MATIC is powered by a new 94 kWh lithium-ion battery and dual-motor all-wheel-drive (AWD) powertrain, delivering a combined 482 hp (360 kW). As the sportiest C-Class ever, as Mercedes calls it, the electric sedan can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (0 to 62 mph) in 4 seconds.

Mercedes will launch new variants and battery options, including a rear-wheel-drive model, with an expected WLTP range of around 497 miles (800 km).

Inside, the C-Class EV features Mercedes’ updated cabin design. The optional MBUX Hyperscreen is the highlight, sitting at the center of it all. Spanning 39.1″ (99.3 cm), the display is the largest in a Mercedes vehicle to date.

A 10.3″ driver cluster, a 14″ infotainment, and a digitally animated panel come standard, while you can also opt for the MBUX Superscreen, which adds a 14″ passenger screen.

The system is powered by the new Mercedes‑Benz Operating System (MB.OS), which integrates everything from infotainment to charging and driver assistance. Meanwhile, the MBUX Virtual Assistant serves as an intelligent digital co-pilot, managing functions such as climate controls and navigation.

To top it off, Mercedes included new standard “Softtorino” leather seats that provide a “first-class feel” with electro-pneumatic 4-way lumbar support. The seats also include massage functions, heating, and ventilation.

The C 400 4MATIC debuts a new automatic climate control feature that Mercedes said “heats up twice as fast as in combustion-powered models” during a 20-minute trip at -7 degrees Celsius.

At 2,962 mm, the electric C-Class’s wheelbase is 97 mm longer than the gas-powered model, opening up 12 mm more legroom for rear passengers.

For those in the US, the Mercedes C-Class EV will go on sale in early 2027 with prices expected to start at around $55,000. The EPA’s range will be a bit lower at around 350 to 400 miles.
